What costs a South African salon money
Clients who don't pitch
An empty chair on a Saturday is money you don't get back. Blyssbook reminds clients before their visit, so fewer forget.
WhatsApps all day
Clients ask for prices and times while your hands are in someone's hair. The booking bot sends your menu and free times, and books them in.
Long services, messy diary
A five-hour knotless install and three nail clients on one page. Every service blocks its real length on the right chair, so nothing clashes.
From booking to cash-up in one app
What a South African salon uses every day, on every plan unless it says Professional.
Online booking 24/7
Clients pick the service, the person and the time from your Instagram bio, Google or WhatsApp status.
Booking on WhatsApp
A booking menu on every plan. On Professional, an AI assistant answers on WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.
Automatic reminders
Email reminders on every plan, and WhatsApp reminders on Professional.
A calendar per chair
Braids, silk presses and nails side by side, each with its real length. Walk-ins go in with a tap.
A till that matches yours
Cash, card and split bills, plus your own buttons for SnapScan, Zapper or anything else you take.
VAT invoices
Switch VAT on, add your VAT number, and it prints on every invoice.
Client notes
Hair colour, braid length, nail shape and what they bought last time, on each client's card.
Commissions & tips
Each person's commission and tips worked out for you, on Professional.
Reports
Takings, busiest days and best services, and a day-end total for each way you were paid.

Questions South African salon owners ask
How much does Blyssbook cost in rand?
Starter is about R183 a month, Professional about R350 and Enterprise about R817. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial with no card, and there is no commission on your bookings.
Can clients book on WhatsApp?
Yes. Connect your WhatsApp Business number and switch on the booking bot: it sends your service menu and free times and books the client in. That's on every plan. Professional adds an AI assistant that answers questions in normal sentences on WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger, plus WhatsApp reminders.
Can I take card, SnapScan and Zapper payments?
Yes. Take the card on your own machine (Yoco, iKhokha or your bank's) and tap Card at the till. Add SnapScan, Zapper or anything else under Settings → Payment methods and each gets its own button and its own line in your day-end totals. Blyssbook records the payment; it doesn't process the card.
Can I put VAT on my invoices?
Yes. Switch VAT on in your invoice settings, set the rate and add your VAT number, and both print on every invoice. Ask your accountant to check your own VAT setup.
Does it work for braiders, nail techs and people working alone?
Yes. A service can be any length, so a five-hour braiding install blocks five hours on that person's column. Working alone? Starter gives you a booking page, calendar and till for one person or a small team.
What happens when the power or the Wi-Fi goes off?
Your booking page stays online, because Blyssbook runs in the cloud, not on a computer in your salon. You can keep using the calendar and till on a phone with mobile data. There is no offline mode: with no signal at all, nothing new loads until you reconnect.
